I have been a Toyota owner since 1996 and have had excellent success with my three Toyotas, but now...

I now have a 2003 Toyota Camry.  Approximately 4 weeks ago I took my car in for a warranty check before the warranty ran out.

I told the service advisor about a strange noise in my engine and they told me it sounded ok.

After hearing a strange noise in the motor, I took it in today and they told me that it is a problem with the intake manifold which was replace at a cost of $509.04.  It is only 2,900 miles over the warranty.

I am extremely disappointed that it decided to go out as soon as my warranty expired.  I heard that they had several Toyotas with this problem.

It is my opinion that this should be covered.  There is a problem with a brake and they said that was covered under the warranty.

Please help me keep my utmost opinion of Toyota and have this covered by the warranty.

The technician said that my comment was not on the work order when I brought it in for a warranty check.

I am anxiously awaiting your opinion and decision.
