I was unable to stop the
car. After hitting the fence, I was finally able
to put the car in reverse and it accelerated yet again and hit a tree
causing $2,300 in damage.
I contacted Honda asking
them once the body was repaired to check into the sudden acceleration
problem and they REFUSED. They stated unless
my insurance company filed a claim against them,
that accepting the car would be ADMITTING GUILT.
I cannot believe they
wouldn’t want to see what the problem was and fix it.
My question is how do
automobile companies find out they need to recall
one of their automobiles? Do they wait for someone to be injured or even
die before they look into the problem????
I was under the
impression that Honda’s were one of the Top 3 for
performance and safety and that is why I
bought it. Now I’m not so sure. Not only am
I not confident with my car,
I am surprised and appalled
at Honda’s refusal.
If anyone has had this
problem or a similar problem with their Honda, I
would like to hear from them. I can be reached by email.
Thank you!
