Get a Chiltons Manual at
the public library for your car;s
year and model. In that you will find directions and
pictures of everything you need to deal with.
If you want to spend a
few bucks for a manual at the car parts store, it won't be
as comprehensive or expensive, but any information is better
than none.
The manual will also
tell you what the codes mean in terms of parts and what may
be wrong with them.
You can make the best
decision based on your skill, whether to go to the shop or
do it yourself.
