My 1997 Chrysler Sebring LX's brake lights stopped working, and after repairing them, it still displays a P0703 brake code.

I have a 1997 Sebring does not have cruise control.

The brake lights stopped working and the service engine light came on.  I went to AutoZone and Napa and Advanced Auto Parts and they all had a different switch than what I needed.

I ended up with one from AutoZone that was for a car with cruise control.  It has four prongs, 2 sets parallel to each other.  The others had 2, 3, and 4 four prongs with the wrong patterns.  I installed the new switch and the lights work.

The car runs great, but the service engine light is still on.

It displays codes to a P0703 brake switch malfunction.  I tried unplugging the battery for 10 minutes, but it comes back within 100 miles of driving.

Also the idle rpm is at 900rpm instead of the 750 as before.

Maybe it has something  to do with the IACM or would it throw another code?  If it is a relay how do I know which one?

And if it is the IACM, where is that located?
