Pulse v. Touchtone

I have had pulse dialing
forever and it works. My last bill showed a new charge
for touchtone service.
I am not getting that
service on my phone. I still
have to press * to access the tone feature.
I called AT&T & was told
that it has been mandated in Georgia that everyone have
touchtone. I said then why don't I have touchtone on
my phone line and was told I need a new phone, which they
sell.
I have a cordless
phone with keys, not a rotary dial. I'm trying to
reach the public service commission
about this matter. If you have AT&T,
go over your phone bill LINE by LINE.
