When I obtained my Sprint Wireless Internet Service, I selected Sprint long distance to receive a $10 per month discount.

My wife speaks to friends in Canada and Europe from time to time.   We have been using Net2Phone ISP service for these calls.  However my wife on two occasions could not place calls to Toronto using Net2Phone so she dialed direct using our standard phone line.  Little did we know.

When I got my bill from Sprint, I saw they had charged me $180 for the two calls which lasted less than 2 hours total.  When I called Sprint they explained that because I did not have international long distance I was charged an extra connection fee.

I told them that my wife could have flown to Toronto from Chicago and back for less money.  I further told them that I was very unhappy with their draconian billing policies!

I cancelled all their services and I told them I would never use Sprint again.
