My call to
Sprint started the call with, "I do not have a
cell phone why am I being charged this?"
I had never even used one. Give me
your cell number and I will check it out they
would say.
I told them I do not have a cell phone.
I called weekly for months and had the same
conversation each time. My husband emailed
our local TV station because they have a consumer
help program. They contacted Sprint and we
got a check for $99.99 maybe two weeks later.
Recently my adult daughter gave me
$104.60 cash and asked me
if I would use my bank card and pay her Sprint bill online.
The phone had been shut off for nonpayment.
I did and then,
after turning it on, they shut her phone off again
a week or so later.
I believe they saw MY credit card
information and charged my card $129.40 and turned the phone back on.
We called the bank and cancelled the card.
I called Sprint and one person acknowledged
the mistake and said they would refund the money.
Someone
else rudely said no.
I'm still
waiting for the bank investigation.
