I am receiving a runaround from Fleet and Bank of America.

When I checked my credit while purchasing a home, I found a problem. I have repeatedly had all three credit reporting agencies remove the incorrect info reported on a past Fleet/Advanta credit card, only to have it appear again. In the end, I decided to skip the credit reporting agencies and try to go directly to the bank reporting the info.

I found that Bank of America is holding the account info from Fleet/Advanta and reporting that I owe a past due sum. I received a reply from a BofA correspondence department representative saying that I should contact the reporting credit bureau agency and place a dispute. Also, they said that if the account has been inactive for two years or more (it has), they purge the info from their computer files. That apparently is not true since they repeatedly report it.

Now for months I have been mailing (and also sending certified mail that has been signed for) and not getting any reply.

Does anyone have any contact info for Bank of America to resolve issues?
