He was told the cooling would stop for a couple of days, then
start up, and then stop again, etc.
He did some superficial cleaning, said he
thought it was OK, but told my wife to call for a new appointment if it still had a
problem.
That night it was back to room temperature. Next
morning I called Sears, explained everything, and I was told it would be two weeks before
another serviceman could show up.
I talked to three different people and was told a
supervisor would call back, but no one never did... and my 2 year old refrigerator ---
which I have a service contract on --- is sitting at room temperature.
I told Sears I would get my own repairman and bill
Sears.
The response was, "That will void your contract." We have
probably owned a dozen Kenmore products during our 35 year marriage. This is the
last.
