I purchased a new I/O Magic CD-RW Drive from OfficeMax, which promised and advertised a $30 mail-in rebate.  I filled out the proper form, mailed it with the product UPC code and my store receipt, and waited for my rebate check.

I sent everything out on July 5 and it is now November 15, and still no check.

I went to the I/O Magic website, filled out a rebate inquiry form, and received an email from customer service 2 weeks later.  Apparently, my forms were never received, and I was encouraged to resubmit them within 7 days.

I replied to this email asking how I could send a second UPC code from a box that only contained one to begin with, and I haven't heard anything more.

Sure, a $59.95 product which promises a $30 rebate LOOKS like a great deal... if you get the $30 as promised.
